Environmentally Friendly, Useful Garden Kneeler

The Cygnet community is full of people who understand that looking after our land and resources is really important for the long term future.

Young people in Cygnet are learning that recycling and re-using materials is a clever thing to do.

Here is Thomas; he attends the local school where they have a Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden.  Thomas and his mother, Kate, regularly work in the Cygnet Community Garden.  The Community Garden is where the idea of a garden kneeler made from recycled materials developed.

The Environmentally Friendly Useful Garden Kneeler has an outer casing of hessian (old unused stockfeed bags) with a filling of recycled, heavy duty plastic packaging.  Recycled twine is used to hold it all together.  The Garden Kneeler quickly dries after use due to the materials that are used.

The Environmentally Friendly Useful Garden Kneeler is available from The Cygnet Market or at the Garden Shed and Pantry.  A percentage of the proceeds from sales of the garden kneelers are being donated to the Cygnet Community Garden.
